Wendy Plymell To All Instructors
Wendy Plymell Is a local business owner and mother of four homeschooled students. She graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. The first two years were completed at the University of New Mexico where she competed as a Division 1 swimmer specializing in freestyle and butterfly. Wendy took her passion for Biology, Athletics, and Physical Training and continued her education at Regis University, Denver, Colorado, where she earned a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. Her professional career started in home health PT helping patients all over the Denver metro area - particularly enjoying the WWII generation. The mother of three sons and a daughter (Andrew, Austen, Ariah, and Keira), she has successfully homeschooled them since Andrew started middle school. Andrew is now a double business major junior at the University of Tennessee - Knoxville, Austen will graduate high school in May 2023, Ariah will attend GTCC the next 2 years to complete high school and gain college credits, and Keira will attend the STEM part time. Wendy has thoroughly enjoyed teaching Biology and other sciences to these four and looks forward to using these skills and passion to teach more students. Additionally, Wendy owns and successfully operates a Young LIving Essential Oils distribution business and a short term vacation rental business. Following Tom’s career (her husband of 22 years), the family has had multiple relocations from their home state of Colorado: in 2016, the family relocated to Bettendorf, IA; in 2017 to North Kansas City, MO; and in the summer of 2021 to Kernersville, NC.
